Running on Empty

Last week I decided to start harder workouts to reach my goal weight and to get in shape, which include running. After not running for several years, make that my entire life, as I have never ran except if I was playing sports. I was surprised that I was able to run about 2 miles every evening. I was feeling so good and I was able to run a little bit farther each night. Then I got sicker than I ever have in a very long time. I had a really bad fever with a sore throat and congestion. I missed work and was nauseous for several days. I felt bad because we were to watch Christopher's kids over the weekend, so Hannah was on her own with the kids for two days, but she did fine. It never fails that something always gets in the way to block the new paths that we pursue, it is up to us to continue on the path and work even harder than before.

We are enjoying our puppy, she is now three months old and doing very well. She had her first vet visit and we were told to cut back on her food, as she is now 7 pounds.

What a fat/phat dog. Not as pretty as her cousin, but okay, I guess.

I used to run, too. Before I got phat.
